CO-DESIGNING A HEALING PLACE

where people in distress can rest and rejuvenate

TACSI project with the Department of Health, Victoria (2020-21)

The Australian Centre for Social Innovation (TACSI) was commissioned by the Department of Health to facilitate a co-design group to design a new, lived and living experience led residential care experience and place for people experiencing mental health distress.

Lucy’s role focussed on the co-design process and experience for co-design group members. Lucy co-facilitated six or so sessions to step consumers of mental health and wellbeing services and carers through a design process, from which they developed their proposed residential experience.

Mind Australia, with support from Barwon Health, is launching the centre in Geelong in 2026, see the announcement here.
